I have an existing wall-hung toilet and would like to install a handheld bidet spray / hand shower (shattaf) next to it. I have not purchased the bidet yet. Based on my current toilet setup, is it possible to install one and connect it safely to the existing water supply? What type of bidet spray/connection should I buy, or is it better for the plumber to supply the required materials?

Do you want warm water?
I recommend to let the expert advise you on what materials and wich thermostat tap e.g.
Cold water can be done with a three way fitting after the service valve.
